A few things to bear in mind.....
Whilst we offer the following advice in good faith, we do not accept any responsibility for it what so ever.
With winter fast approaching, don't leave your equipment outside, or in the van, over night. It could be quite expensive if things freeze-up. It could also cause the K valve in your wand to split. It always happens at the wrong time - we can, of course, arrange a small supply to cover such an eventuality. Why not order a spare now?
The Festive Season, which is traditionally a busy period for carpet and upholstery cleaning, is not so far off. Please ensure you have a good working stock of all chemicals.
Prochem's C409 Pure Clean is their exciting new product. Pure Clean is a multi purpose carpet cleaning powder with new soap free, enzyme free and fragrance free fomula for use in carpet cleaning machines, bonneting, spray cleaning and spotting for complete rinse and residue free cleaning.
Wine Stains. It will soon be the most popular time of the year for spilling red wine on carpets. Make sure you have a good working stock of Prochem E400 "Red RX" red wine remover along with Terry towels and an iron.
Give your machine a regular health check. Often overlooked, brushes for your vacuum motors and water pump motors. We often get calls from Customers telling us one of their motors has packed-up. Of course, the life of any part depends on the frequency of use. As it happened, their machine had been subjected to high usage. Consequently, due to lack of servicing, the brushes had not been replaced. The moral of this tale is, you must service your machines on a regular basis and replace the brushes - subject to usage - it's a waste of time and money having to hire a machine at the last moment! We draw your attention to the Warranty page - see index to left.. To replace the brushes takes approx 15 minutes at a minimal cost. We carry a comprehensive stock of brushes etc.
When servicing your equipment, you should also remember to take out the jets and clean filters that are behind the jets in wands and hand tools. Ensure the jets are clear and refit. Not forgetting the filter in the machine's dirty tank - i.e. take out, clean and refit. No cost to you for better results from your machine
Descaling ensures the machine functions efficiently and to the best of it's ability. How often you do this depends on the frequency of use and the types of chemical employed. For example, over a period of time, alcaline chemicals will leave a hard deposit on all surfaces throughout. We suggest making this the last job of the week. Completely empty the clean tank. Make up a solution of Prochem B109 Fibre and Fabric Rinse - approx. 12oz - 5 Ltrs water. Flush through hoses, wands and hand tools and leave solution in equipment, over night, for descaling. Ideally, repeat this process the next day and leave solution in the equipment. Remember to flush through before starting your next cleaning job. It sounds like a lot to do but it really isn't and let's face it, it could prolong the life and performance of your equipment.
Protection of carpets i.e. foil protectors, foam blocks or - a trade secret - black sacks cut up to required size placed under metal/wooden furniture making contact with the damp carpet. This could save you a fortune in new carpet claims.
